You may have heard of Social Graph which is very popular by now. But have you ever come across a Taste Graph. Hunch is a recommendation engine to build a taste graph.This company has built a  partnership with big players to give a personal recommendation to their products.Interactive Corp’s Gifts.com, Buzzfeed, Bluefly, Heyzap, Milo, ShopStyle and FanBridge are the initial partners.

Hunch has an API through which you can build a custom Hunch-powered applications. These partners will build a custom application on Hunch or embed it’s functionality on their websites or both.But what is the business model here ?

Hunch has a free version of recommendation engine used by many partners. The e-commerce websites will share the revenue generated from purchases recommended by Hunch.This is a kind of revenue share without actually advertising your products. probably in later days CPA kind of revenue model would also be used at hunch.

One more thing which has to be observer here is that whole business model is built around the Hunch API. This means that once the Hunch is popular it would also build it’s own apps which can be used by the websites on monthly premium basis.

As you have all observer Google’s doodle has changed in remembrances of Les Paul – An American jazz and country guitarist, songwriter and inventor.His actual name was Lester William Polsfuss. Today is his 96th birthday.

In my last semester of under graduation , I developed a limited social networking website for my family called adarakatti.com. Based on this website , I managed to get a job in a civil construction and consultancy company by name E I Technologies. My brother was working under a civil department in this organization . He introduced me in this organization.

I worked on couple of websites here. All these websites were built in PHP and MySql.I worked with my only one senior in this organization. The  organization was pretty good with 25-30 employees. Among those employees there were only 4 IT guys and rest belong to civil department.  Two of them were network and hardware specialist and other two were me and my senior Sandeep Pathania. This is why I had only one senior.

This company was more towards civil construction and not towards technology. So I decided to find a new job. After 2 month of continuous efforts I got a interview call for a gaming company called RealBridge Consulting Pvt Ltd. I attended the interview and passed the technical test. I succeed in getting a job in this company.

In my last semester of under-graduation , I was bound to do a family website by name Adarakatti.com. This was my first PHP project. In fact I learnt PHP by myself  to execute this project. I pay my gratitude to w3schools.com in this aspect. It is a ultimate guide for beginners.

It was a very good experience learning PHP . The concepts like session, cookies and database behind the website was introduced to me in this process. I took not even 30 days to  understood PHP. Because PHP has a c-like programming style , the learning curve was  small. It was a great fun to work on PHP. For the very first time I used MySql database and worked with SQL queries to solve many problem.

Adarakatti.com was a limited social networking site for my family. It had account creation and profile creation options. The logged in members were free to see up-coming birth days, Get contact details of other relations and send message to each other.I had also built a admin interface on the back end to approve and block the the members.

Even though the website had many options built by me at  one shot no one used it. Many of my relations didn’t return back and some of them not even pay a visit to the website. Then I didn’t knew the reason. But today I have understood that community matters. Also Interest and intention matters. I failed to build such an interest. But Facebook did it. All my relations were active in Facebook but not in my website.

I started out with my first project to build a website by name Prerana Institution . This was project with a simple HTML knowledge that I had. I was not a one hand army. I was accompanied by my friend Shankar.Probably I would have not done this project with out him He was the guy who bought me into this project.

Since we were less efficient in building the website we used a templates.We choose a best template and started customizing it. We introduced many changes in the website. This was a R&D project for us. We took some where around 25 to 30 days to build this small website.We had a great experience with this project. We played around HTML , CSS and java scripts.

Finally , The website was ready to host but we didn’t know how to host it. We run around the internet and found some blogs. The Google was a best teacher for us and of course even today.

Prerana Consultancy was a small startup with just 2 web developers – Me and My friend Shankar. This was my first job and my career started with simple HTML. It was a time when I even didn’t  have any knowledge about the internet. Both of us were fresh hands and Prerana consultancy was a learning house for us. The website by name Prerana Institution was the first project which came out of this learning house. In fact this was a in-house project which later bought many opportunities.

The man behind this small startup is a genius and multiple degree holder MR.Mahesh Premachandra. He was the man who first got us into the corporate world. He encouraged use to learn many things which we had ever heard in our academic study. Hats of you sir.

After a few days of hosting Prerana Institution website we got a first order. The client was in need of a company website which can project the company profile. It was a website for a company by name retail Interface.This company had a rural business and website was designed to advertise their products.

I had started working in my college vacations and my college re-opened soon after the “retail Interface” project. It was a time to leave the job. But I had one more great opportunity.I was given a chance to work part-time. I used to go to the company after by college hours. But this didn’t work too long. As my semester exams were nearing and I would not concentrate on my studies I left the job.

Many iGaming operators spend a lot on player acquisition which they cannot recover. It is being calculated that average cost per player acquisition is £120, which is too high and not guaranteed. The operators display ads on many portal websites through affiliate. They try out with many portal websites and pay huge to portal operators for getting their ads displayed. All these huge spending can be reduced by making marketing efforts through social media.

Social media has a characteristic which can bingo out better results with less efforts. It exhibit a viral behavior. Any information shared over social media reaches a great number of audience within short period of time. The information flows and branches out from one group to other.

Depending upon a flow path way the information takes it’s weight-age. The flow path way is determined by likes in case of Facebook , re-tweets in case of twitter, Diggs in case of social bookmarking sites like Digg. The information shared by the player’s close friend has more weight-age than information which comes from unknown source.
