The social gaming site hi5 was acquired by the San Francisco-based Tagged on Wednesday. Tagged is the third-largest social networking site after Facebook and Twitter. The Wall Street Journal was first to report this acquisition. The terms of acquisition are not yet disclosed.

 

This acquisition is mainly for large user base. Currently Hi5 has about 200 million registered users where as Tagged has 100 million registered users. This acquisition would double Tagged user base said Greg Tseng, Tagged cofounder and CEO. In the press release yesterday, Tseng made the following statements about the acquisition.

 

Google has acquired a startup clever sense which would help the search giant to improve their search products and local recommendations. The CEO and founder of clever sense Babak Pahlavan confirms this acquisition right at the home page of clever sense site.

 

Clever sense is a technology built to solve the information overload problem. It is a solution built to recommend restaurants, night clubs and other favorite places all with artificial intelligence and previous data.

 

Today I have finished the design of the OnFlow Home Page which is going to be a simple solution for internal project communication. In other words it would be a Social Workspace for Corporate World.

I have ordered a copy of Steve Jobs biography thru FlipKart.com which has to reach me by tomorrow.  This biography is written by Walter Isaacson after many interviews with jobs and his co-workers at Apple.

I have read bits and pieces about job’s  life before. Now this would be a complete dig thru…

I am going to build my own framework . As of now below is the plan for my PHP framework…

5. Performace Issues – Add HipHop, JSmin , Caching , cookies

9. SandBox issues – To be added
10. UI Issues – Standardize it

The very first usage of this framework would be made in the my software by name OnFlow . This is a social project management solution for the corporate world.

As you all know Google plus – a brand new social platform is very strict in its policies on profile creation. It don’t allow to create profile with your business name and also do not allow fake or nick names. It is continuously monitoring on this and have deleted many accounts with business names and nick names. Google ask to wait until it releases  a business version of Google Plus i.e a similar product like Facebook page . The business owners can’t wait for Google to release the business version. They want to penetrate into the network when it is small , which helps them to grow big in later days. So they have a found new way to promote them self.

The business owners are creating  an account in their name and have submitted the RSS feed of their own site into it. They just promote this account on to their website and ask people to add them to their circle. Pete Cashmore CEO and founder of famous news and media site mashable.com have such an account in Google Plus which is also verified by Google themselves.Thus they have found their way to reach the mass at Google Plus. Up to now this is fine with current policies of Google Plus. May be in later days , Google would come out with new policies in order to beat this.

Google Plus , A very new social networking website by Google which is still in the beta version has an invitation based sign in. Today I got an invitation for Google+ from one of my friend. I was running around the web for this from past 1 weak.

This product is very new and have very less friends as of now . I liked the concept and design. Google Circles and Hand Out  are features which engage you on Google plus. Google will slowly integrate all their products with this new social product and this will surely a powerful product.

Last weak I redesigned crystalball bingo.com . This was my very  first website developed in JSP and liQuantum platform. I was a very good experience as every thing was new to me. Even though it was second time I developed a bingo website  (I have developed Goldenhat bingo.com ) the concept seems to be new.

New Design

 

Communicating with a players often can keep your brand on top of their mind. But too much is bad!

Generally iGaming sites communicate with their players by sending newsletters and mailers. They send their weakly promotions , monthly promotions , notifications , messages through newsletters which finally sit into the player’s inbox. The players seem to be responding well for few days ,but later the outcome of the efforts made towards the campaign will not be satisfactory. This results in low revenue generation. What is the reason behind this sudden change ?

The major factor for low revenue generation is that your communication to the players is not effective by means you have taken to do so. The content of the newsletter may be attractive and motivating but very fewer players are reading it. The reason behind this is that your mails are being ignored by the players.

Any e-mail client provide its user to filter and mark the mails based on the sender. Even the users can mark a specific sender as spam , which lead the mails go directly to the spam box. But why the users trying to avoid your mails ? Because they are fed up by your mails. You have sent enough mails and filled up their inbox . Distributing your email communication can make your communication better.
